MediaTek’s Will Launch Two Flagship Processors
This year, the Android camp high-end flagship semiconductor market, Qualcomm launched Snapdragon 888, Snapdragon 888 Plus, and Snapdragon 870, MediaTek launched the MediaTek Dimensity 1200, Dimensity 1100, and other chips.
Looking ahead to next year, Qualcomm’s main flagship chip in 2022 will be the Snapdragon 898 (tentatively named), while MediaTek’s will also launch two flagship processors, as a way to compete with Qualcomm in a new round.
The MediaTek’s flagship chip Dimensity 2000 will be based on TSMC 4nm process to build, the next flagship chip based on TSMC 5nm process to build (named undecided), compared to this year’s Dimensity 1200 and Dimensity 1100, the two new processors in the process have been upgraded, which will bring more excellent power consumption and performance, coupled with the reason for MediaTek, it will bring a lot of pressure on Qualcomm in the terminal pricing.
In addition, the successor to the Dimensity 1100 will be higher in performance than Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 870 this year, coupled with a real price, or will directly replace the Snapdragon 870‘s “God U” status. At present, MediaTek has not yet announced the news, the new machine will have to wait until the beginning of next year, at that time, Qualcomm’s market can still hold?
The two new flagship processors commercialized in 2022 are upgraded in the process. Power control is expected to be even better, and with its strong performance and very competitive price, MediaTek is likely to capture Qualcomm’s share of the high-end market.
