Official Version of Android 12
At Google’s Pixel 6 Series launch event, Google released its new Pixel 6 and 6 Pro, as well as the official version of the Android 12 operating system with key features focusing on personalization, safety, and effortless experience.
Android 12 source code has been pushed to the Android Open Source Project (AOSP), so some manufacturers previously pushed the Android 12-based internal test or public test version, but the official release is early this morning, note that it is the official version of Android 12.
UI interface Android 12 has a large improvement, the introduction of a new design language called Material You, can help developers build more personalized, beautiful applications, according to the wallpaper coordination system color scheme, can be extended to application icons, drop-down menus, gadgets, and other aspects. While the new version provides redesigned widgets, updated notification design, added a new “stretch” over-scrolling effect, and did not introduce all applications to the start screen.

Google said Android 12 offers faster and more efficient system performance, improved application startup time, and optimized I/O to speed up application loading. Android 12 official version can now be installed in Pixel 3 and above models, later this year landing Samsung Galaxy, OnePlus, OPPO, Realme, and many other OEM.
The most notable feature in Android 12 is the new Material You design, which lets you dive a little deeper and tweak the look of your home screen to your liking. It’s more expressive than previous versions of Android, with tools that let you coordinate colors that can be extended to app icons, drop-down menus, widgets, and more. Many of the widgets have been updated to match the new look, and Google shared today that by the end of October it plans to offer more than a dozen new or upgraded widgets for its first-party apps.

In its latest Android Security and Privacy Year in Review, Google noted that “there were no public disclosures of critical security vulnerabilities affecting the Android platform and no security updates or mitigations for Android devices.” In addition, there was an 84 percent year-over-year increase in security patches in the fourth quarter of 2018 compared to the previous year.
There are already domestic ROMs pushing public beta versions based on Android 12, such as MIUI 12.5 and ColorOS 12. In addition, Android 12 has introduced a new Performance Level Standard, which means that the threshold for upgrading Android 12 is at least 6GB of RAM, at least 400dpi pixel density, and 1080p resolution, which means the old models are not upgraded.
However, compared with Android 12, the functions of domestic ROMs are more comprehensive and more in line with localization, so even if the bottom layer of Android is not updated, you can still use the new functions.
