Apple MacBook Pro May Have Notch Display
Apple has officially announced that it will hold a new conference on October 18. The most important protagonist of the event is the newly upgraded MacBook Pro, which was previously revealed to be a completely improved design from the inside out.
Apple will launch two versions of MacBook Pro, 14-inch and 16-inch, both of which will be upgraded to Mini-LED display, which is a finer light control technology than ordinary LCD screens and can bring better quality and help professionals’ needs for color display.
It is worth noting that there are many new revelations recently that Apple may greatly improve the screen-to-body ratio of this device, equipped with an ultra-narrow bezel design, and will also introduce a notch display scheme to hide the camera and other devices, and may embed Face ID inside the notch. While another source claims the MacBook Pro notch will feature a 1080p webcam, a True Tone sensor, and a microphone, no Face ID.
In addition, sources close to the matter have revealed that the new MacBook Pro may also be upgraded to the same 120Hz ultra-high refresh rate of the iPhone 13 Pro series, which, together with Apple’s consistently excellent system animation, will bring a great boost to daily use, doubling the effect compared to the traditional 60Hz and displaying a smoother picture.
Source also says that the new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros will have resolutions of 3024 x 1964 and 3456 x 2234. 3024×1890 and 3456×2160 equate to a 16:10 aspect ratio when subtracting 74 pixels from the height of both. All of Apple’s current MacBooks have a 16:10 aspect ratio, so this seems reasonable given the height notch that allows for 74 pixels.
As for performance, the new MacBook Pro will come standard with the newly upgraded M1x self-research chip with a 10-core design, of which 8 cores are big performance cores, and the GPU scale is 16 or 32 cores, with an optional maximum 64GB memory, which is a leap forward compared to its predecessor and worth looking forward to official reveal.
