Apple Working on Model codenamed D85x
Although the iPhone 13 series has just gone on sale and is still in a hard-to-find situation, news about the iPhone 14 has been pouring in. Apple’s R&D cycle is very long, and its internal research and development work for the iPhone 14 series has already begun, and there has been some relevant news recently.
The latest revelations say that of the iPhone 14 series, only two Pro models will use the punch screen design, as for the standard iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max, it is still a notch display.
According to Digital Chat Station, a new iPhone model codenamed D85x is testing a 120Hz refresh rate punch-hole screen solution, which is only an early solution, but from the news of this year’s iPhone 13 series, it is also likely to be used on mass production models eventually.
Although it is still an early solution, industry sources say Apple already has the technical requirements for a bangs-free screen, but ultimately it depends on how Apple takes to define the final form of the new machine, perhaps like this year on the high refresh rate, Pro Series will only use a bangs-free screen or a punch-hole screen, wait and see.
