Microsoft Surface Duo 2 Full Specifications and Price
Yesterday evening, Microsoft officially released its Surface Duo 2 new dual-screen machine, and the previous generation of the same dual-screen folding design, the main upgrade to its configuration.
Before the second generation, let’s talk about the first generation of Surface Duo, which had various problems due to adaptation reasons and the nature of the dual-screen, and did not perform as it should have so that the subsequent price was cut.
The newly released Surface Duo 2, Microsoft’s second attempt at a dual-screen folding phone, has been optimized and updated according to the first generation of problems, and the shape is still a book-like folding solution, with the two parts connected by a hinge.
While the screen size is larger, consisting of two 5.8-inch, 1344×1892 OLED screens, unfolded to 8.3 inches, and both screens support 90Hz high brush, offering Black, White two color schemes, power button integrated fingerprint module, the outside of the hinge is used to display the time, battery and notification.
The specific weight is 284 grams and 5.50mm thin in unfold state, and 11mm when in close state. Microsoft calls it the world’s thinnest 5G dual-screen phone. Core configuration, from the previous generation of Snapdragon 855 upgrade to Snapdragon 888, built-in 8GB memory, 128GB/256GB storage options, battery capacity of 4400mAh.
The rear three cameras are 12-megapixel wide-angle lens, 16-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and 12-megapixel telephoto lens, support OIS optical stabilization and ToF sensor for fast autofocus. In addition, like the previous Surface Duo, Surface Duo 2 supports handwriting input with Microsoft’s Surface Pen series.
In terms of dual-screen optimization, Microsoft said the machine has more options to display between the two screens at the same time, and more than 150 games have been optimized, such as one screen as a display and the other screen control. Price, Microsoft Surface Duo 2 128GB version of 1499 USD, 256GB version of 1599 USD, October 5 on sale.
