Qualcomm Preparing Snapdragon SM6375 and SM6225
Besides the flagship processor in the spotlight, there has been a new report about Qualcomm’s mid-range processors recently. There are revelations that Qualcomm is developing a new generation of Snapdragon 6 series processors, and may add support for higher refresh rates, so that mid-range phones also have a smoother experience.
According to WinFuture, Qualcomm is developing a processor codenamed SM6375, which is an octa-core SoC, and if there are no surprises, it will be the Snapdragon 695 processor, which will be designed with 4 large cores and 4 small cores. Qualcomm is also testing a variety of clock combinations, with 2.1-2.5Ghz for the large cores and 1.8Ghz-2.2Ghz for the small cores, and 800, 940, and 960Mhz for the CPU clock. The 144Hz screen refresh rate is also being tested and Qualcomm may launch both Snapdragon 695 and a gaming version of Snapdragon 695G.
Furthermore, Qualcomm is also developing the SM6225 processor. However, the details of this product have not been disclosed, looking at the model number should be the successor to the Snapdragon 665. It is known that the SM6225 will use an octa-core processor, integrate 5G networks, will have features from the Snapdragon 765, and also support a 90Hz refresh rate. It is reported that both processors will be manufactured by TSMC, but it is not clear which process node will be used to build.
