Google Tensor Chip Specifications
Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro phones will be officially launched in October this year, equipped with a new generation of Google Tensor chip, this new chip supports artificial intelligence technology, can improve voice recognition, and improve the processing of photos and videos.
Google said the Tensor chip will make the Google Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro the fastest, smartest, and most secure Pixel phone to date. As we all know, before this, all Google Pixel phones use processors developed by Qualcomm, this is the first time the Pixel series of phones abandoned the Qualcomm Snapdragon chip.
At the announcement of the Pixel 6 Series design, colorways, etc., Google did not reveal any specific parameters of the Tensor chip. It is said that Tensor Chip, which will give Google full control over how the hardware and software communicate, could lead to better image processing and more.
Recently, suspected (yet to be Confirmed) Google Tensor Chip specifications were unveiled through the Geekbench performance test site. It reveals that the Google Tensor chip uses two Arm Cortex-X1 cores clocked at 2.8Ghz, which may lead to good performance improvement over Snapdragon 888 and Exynos 2100 as both uses only one Arm Cortex-X1 high-performance core. Other cores include two 2.25GHz and four 1.8GHz energy-efficient cores, and Mali-G78 GPU.

As Google’s custom SoC for the Pixel, the Tensor chip is said to be optimized especially around AI computing and security, further enhancing computational photography performance and providing a faster response in features such as voice commands, machine translation, captioning, and dictation. Google vice president Rick Osterloh said the Tensor chip is built around AI design.
