Realme 8s 5G, Realme 8i, and Realme Pad
As scheduled, Realme today launched its first tablet product Realme Pad, along with two smartphones – Realme 8s 5G and 8i. Among them Realme Pad is equipped with a 10.4-inch IPS LCD screen, resolution of 2000×1200 pixels, aluminum body slim, only 6.9 mm.
The Realme Pad is powered by the Helio G80 chipset and features 3GB/4GB of RAM, 32GB/64GB of storage, and a microSD card slot for further expansion. There are two 8MP cameras on the tablet, one at the front and one at the back, and with a 7100 mAh internal battery, Realme claims to offer 12 hours of video playback and 65 days of standby time, with support for 18W charging and reverse charging.
The Realme Pad has four speakers placed in the four corners and has Dolby Atmos certification. The Realme Pad runs the Android 11-based Realme UI for Pad, a new UI that makes better use of the larger screen, as well as a dedicated reading mode, a dark mode, a night mode that reduces brightness in low-light conditions, and a sun mode for maximum brightness.
Realme Pad is available in Real Gold and Real Grey colors in three versions: the 3GB + 32GB Wi-Fi version is priced at INR 13,999, the 3GB + 32GB Wi-Fi + LTE version is INR 15,999, and the 4GB + 64GB Wi-Fi + LTE version is INR 17,999. The tablet will go on sale in India on September 16, and there’s no word yet on its availability in other markets.
Realme 8s 5G and Realme 8i, these two mid-range phones equipped with MediaTek chipsets and large batteries. Among them Realme 8s 5G is the world’s first phone to feature the MediaTek Dimensity 810 SoC, which has a 2.4GHz octa-core CPU and Mali-G57 GPU. The phone offers two LPDDR4X memory variants: 6GB and 8GB, while storage is 128GB, expandable via a dedicated microSD slot.
Realme 8s 5G has three cameras on the back, the fourth hole is just a sticker with the word AI on it, the main camera is 64MP with an f/1.8 aperture, while the other two are 2MP sensors for B/W portrait and macro shots up to 4cm.
It packs a 6.5-inch LCD screen with a perforated hole for the 16-megapixel selfie camera and a 90Hz refresh rate screen with FHD+ resolution. The phone has a built-in 5000 mAh battery that supports 33W charging via the USB-C port, and realme provides the required charger in the box.
Connectivity features include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.1, all popular 5G bands, and navigation standards, with realme UI 2.0 based on Android 11. The realme 8s 5G is available in blue and purple colors, and the 6GB and 8GB RAM versions are priced at INR 17,999 and INR 19,999, respectively, and will be available in India on September 13.
The Realme 8i is the first phone to come with the Helio G96 chipset, complemented by 4GB or 6GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of storage expandable via a microSD slot. The screen on the Realme 8i is a 6.6-inch LCD with FHD+ resolution and 100% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage, and supports a 120Hz refresh rate, with other refresh rate settings available.
The Realme 8i has a 50MP f/1.8 main camera on the back, complemented by a 2MP f/2.4 B&W and a 2MP f/2.4 macro camera. The battery is also 5000 mAh, supports 18W charging, and comes with a charger in the box. The Realme 8i is available in Space Black and Space Purple colors, and is priced at INR 13,999 for the 4GB + 64GB version and INR 15,999 for the 6GB + 128GB version, and will be available in India on September 14.
