MediaTek Kompanio 900T Unveiled using TSMC's 5nm Process

MediaTek Kompanio 900T

Not a long ago MediaTek debuted Kompanio 1300T SoC in the Honor Tab V7 Pro. Today, MediaTek launched its second Kompanio product – Kompanio 900T mobile computing chip, using TSMC’s 6nm process, A78 core design, Mali-G68 GPU, supporting LPDDR5 memory and UFS3.1 flash memory. Which can achieve smooth multi-window operation and fast App launch experience.

The official said, compared to the Dimensity series, the Kompanio series will focus on new user scenarios, with ultra-low power consumption, strong computing power, large screen color display, high-speed connectivity as the core, to ensure user experience in productivity, audio, and video entertainment.

MediaTek Kompanio 900T supports the latest Wi-Fi 6 technology and also supports 5G high-speed mode, enabling users to maintain a stable and fast 5G connection in various situations. It is also worth mentioning that the chip has some special bonuses, such as Kompanio 900T can reduce the stylus latency to 8ms through system optimization, which is more suitable for tablets and other products.

It also supports parallel vision, Bluetooth 5.2, multi-Bluetooth/WiFi coexistence, and has a third-generation AI processor that supports background defocusing for video calls, intelligent image optimization, super-resolution for movies, and other features.

In addition, the XUNKUN 900T is compatible with 2K resolution 120Hz refresh rate screens, supports intelligent dynamic frame rate technology, HDR10, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision video playback, and the MediaTek MiraVision image quality engine, which intelligently enhances SDR video content to a near HDR display.
