New Generation of Motorola Space Charging Technology
How do you charge your phone in the future? The new generation of Motorola Space charging technology is officially unveiled today. This technology does not require a charging wire, is not limited to the power supply location, enters the room, can be senseless to keep the power full.
In January this year, Motorola officially demonstrated the space charging technology, relying on a desktop millimeter-wave transmitter, to achieve directional charging, the range is 80-100 cm. Today, Motorola announced that the new generation of Motorola space charging technology expending range up to 3 meters.
The new generation of Motorola space charging technology does not require charging wire, is not limited to the power supply location, into the room, can be senseless to keep charging your devices. It uses 1600 antennas composed of a phased array, can be simultaneously charged to 4 devices, there is a cover that does not affect.
Motorola also gave a demonstration video, the video shows that the technology can actively detect, automatic charging, support more than 3 meters handheld charging across the space, do not fear to block, support ultra-wide-angle degree (>100 °).
Officially, Motorola’s new generation of space charging technology has achieved the effect of charging 4 devices simultaneously within 3 meters and 100° of a single device and can charge the phone through paper, leather, and other obstructions.
At the same time, considering user safety issues, the biomonitoring technology built into the space-charging device will avoid/stop the charging beam of the blocking part after recognizing the human body.
In the future, Motorola will not only improve the hardware parameter index of space charging but also add new features such as multi-size antenna, multi-device networking, AI intelligent frequency modulation, etc. It will also be compatible with Qi wireless charging protocol, paving the way for the commercialization and popularization of space charging technology.
General Manager of Lenovo China Mobile Phone Business Department also said that the technology is already close to commercialized volume and life-like scenarios. Motorola has not yet announced more information about the spaced charging technology, and it is not known when it will be mass-produced, but from the demonstration and official’s statement, it should be soon, so you may look forward to it.
