Lenovo Tab P12 Pro, Lenovo Tab P11 5G, Lenovo Project Unity
Today Lenovo released a variety of new products. Among them, two are tablet PCs namely Lenovo Tab P12 Pro and Lenovo Tab P11 5G.
Lenovo Tab P12 Pro
Lenovo’ Tab P12 Pro is an Android tablet built for productivity and entertainment, the Lenovo P12 Pro supports a keyboard cover with a touchpad and the ability to use the tablet as a wireless display for a Windows PC using the company’s Project Unity framework. Just enter a PIN to connect to the tablet and you can extend or mirror the Windows desktop and run Android apps at the same time.
Lenovo Tab P12 Pro is positioned at the high-end and features a 12.6-inch AMOLED display with 2560 × 1600 resolution, 16:10 aspect ratio, support for HDR10+, Dolby Vision, etc., peak brightness of 600 nits, and a refresh rate of 120Hz.
Powered by Snapdragon 870 processor, up to 8GB + 256GB storage and support TF card expansion, 10,200mAh battery, 45W fast charging, and 17 hours of video playback life. On the back is a 13 megapixels + 5 megapixels dual camera, 8 megapixels + ToF selfie camera on the front, side power button integrated fingerprint recognition, USB 3.1 Gen2 interface.
The whole machine is only 5.63mm thick, weighs 565g, is pre-installed with Android 11, and promises to upgrade Android 12, optional 5G all-network models, Wi-Fi starting at 609.99 USD, 5G top-end only available in EMEA, priced at 899 euros.
Lenovo Project Unity
With the launch of the Lenovo Tab P12 Pro Android tablet, Lenovo also announced Project Unity, a new app that transforms your Lenovo Android tablet into a Lenovo PC smart companion display with Windows 10 or Windows 11. This completely wireless experience lets you easily pair the two devices with a simple PIN entry and seamlessly extend your Windows desktop to your tablet for additional display space or to mirror it when needed.
Lenovo Project Unity Features:
- Your PC’s Windows programs and your tablet’s Android apps can run side-by-side at the same time.
- With Project Unity, you can make video calls from your PC while drawing and sharing pictures on the virtual whiteboard of the call using the tablet’s touchscreen.
- Present PowerPoint on your PC and access the speaker’s notes on your tablet, or prepare a file on your PC while referring to another file on your desktop on your tablet.
- Want to pull up a movie on your favorite streaming platform while you’re working? No problem, just open that Android app, minimize the window, and place it where you want it on the screen, while still having access to the Windows desktop document you’re working on.
The Project Unity app will come pre-installed on the Lenovo Tab P12 Pro tablet. Lenovo says it also plans to roll out more device connectivity, management, and data storage features in the coming months.
Lenovo Tab P11 5G
If the budget is limited, Lenovo also launched the Tab P11, 11-inch 2000 × 1200 IPS display, 70% NTSC color gamut, 60Hz refresh rate, powered by Snapdragon 750G processor, up to 8GB + 256GB and support storage expansion, 7700mAh battery (20W fast charging), 13MP single camera on the back, the European starting price of 499 euros.
