Today MediaTek released the Dimensity 920 and Dimensity 810 two 5G chips, succeeding the incumbent Dimensity 900 and Dimensity 800. Both have significant improvements in performance, imaging, and display, and are both manufactured in the 6nm process. Together with the previous Dimensity 1200, Dimensity 1100, MediaTek is moving to 6nm across the board.

In terms of specifications, the Dimensity 920 is built using a 6nm process, with an octa-core CPU design consisting of two 2.5GHz Cortex-A78s + six 2.0GHz A55s and an integrated Mali-G68 GPU, claiming a 9% increase in gaming performance over the Dimensity 900.

Advanced features support LPDDR5 memory and UFS 3.1 flash memory, equipped with flagship HDR ISP and MediaTe hardware-grade 4K HDR video capture engine, support 108-megapixel quad-camera combination.

Connectivity, support dual card 5G standby, dual card VoNR call service, 5G dual-carrier aggregation, integrated 2×2 MIMO Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2 and multi-band GNSS, MediaTek 5G UltraSave power-saving technology is not absent. Support for MediaTek HyperEngine 3.0 gaming engine, support for dual card parallelism for gaming calls, as well as 5G High-Speed Rail and Super Hotspot modes.

Then there is the Dimensity 810, also built with 6nm, octa-core CPU design, including the Cortex-A76 core at 2.4GHz, GPU integrated G57 MC2, although the CPU frequency is higher than the Dimensity 800, the GPU is instead weakened, supporting 120Hz refresh rate Full HD FHD+ display.

Support advanced noise reduction technology (MFNR and MCTF) for excellent imaging in dark light, support for 64-megapixel camera, and cooperation with ArcSoft, which claims to provide advanced camera features such as AI depth of field enhancement and AI color for the terminal. Supported is the HyperEngine 2.0 game engine, which enhances the gaming experience based on calling the network engine and intelligent load regulation engine.

Finally, devices equipped with MediaTek’s Dimensity 920 and Dimensity 810 terminals are expected to be available worldwide in the third quarter of 2021. Below are the full specifications of MediaTek Dimensity 920 and Dimensity 810.
