Leica Leitz Phone 1 Introduction
The veteran camera manufacturer Leica, which had previously teamed up with Huawei to create an imaging system, recently launched its first smartphone, the Leica Leitz Phone 1 in Japan. The Leica Leitz Phone 1 price is JPY 187,920 (about 1,25,800 INR), Softbank will start accepting reservations from June 18th.
It is reported that the machine was launched by Japanese operator Softbank, and from the parameters, it looks like a redesigned version of Sharp AQUOS R6, with basically unchanged configuration, but with a new shape, and some accessories. The main highlights are as follow:

- A Leica-specific design that incorporates only the really necessary elements.
Leitz Phone 1 front for the double curved screen, the back for the round camera layout, the rear only one camera, but the parameters are quite powerful. Leitz Phone 1 back appearance at first glance and Huawei Mate 40 series are very similar. Since it is a camera manufacturer to create cell phone products, the Leitz Phone 1 imaging system is naturally the most dazzling highlight of this phone.
It is reported that the Leitz Phone 1’s imaging system is created by Leica and Sharp, and the two sides have been jointly designing it since March 2020, equipping it with a 7P lens with a 1-inch large base and F1.9 aperture, which can take 20.2-megapixel photos, as well as a ToF lens to play the role of auxiliary focusing, and a 12.6-megapixel front camera.
At the same time, there are obvious Leica logo marks in the upper left corner, very conspicuous, directly embedded in the glass, while the entire back and middle frame of the machine are the same surface treatment as the Leica camera.
As for the screen, the new machine uses a Sharp Pro IGZO OLED screen with a resolution of 2730 × 1260, supports 240Hz refresh rate (1-240Hz adaptive), has 1.07 billion color display, 2000 nits brightness.
The core configuration is equipped with Snapdragon 888, LPDDR5 + UFS 3.1, offers a 12GB + 128GB storage combination, supports storage card expansion, and has a battery capacity of 5000mAh, supports PD charging, and 130 minutes full.
Other features include IP68 water and dust resistance, Qualcomm 3D Sonic Max ultrasonic fingerprint, 3.5mm headphone jack, and physical keys for voice assistant. The body size of 162 × 74 × 9.5mm, the whole weight of 212g, but also specifically provided magnetic lens cover accessories.
