According to the news from IT Home, on May 28, OPPO Guangdong Mobile Communications Co., Ltd. published a patent for “flexible display components and display devices” with the publication number CN112863362A.
The patent abstract shows that this application provides an embodiment of the present application provides a flexible display assembly and a display device. The display device includes a flexible display assembly, and the flexible display assembly includes a flexible display screen, a protective layer, and a supporting layer. In the embodiments of the present application, the protective layer and the supporting layer cooperate to improve the supporting strength of the flexible display screen.
According to the description of the patent application, OPPO indicates that the bendable feature of the flexible screen makes it difficult to get good support for its display, which affects the display effect. This invention opens multiple through-holes in the protective layer on the back of the screen; the support layer contains a large number of support strips. The two layers of material work together to improve the strength of support for the flexible screen.
OPPO also said it can use an electric motor to drive the extension of the flexible screen, the protective layer (340) can be made of metal, and the support layer (360) can be laid on the entire non-display surface of the extension.
