In addition, by comparing the Mate40 Pro running ordinary EMUI 11 system, he found that the smoothness of the system and the speed of App opening and switching under HarmonyOS 2.0 are the same, which he said is Huawei’s choice to package the dual architecture of HarmonyOS and Android Open Source Platform (Android 10) together in consideration of system stability and compatibility, so the current Most of the Android App running environment in the phone is still Android, thus ensuring smoothness.

Note: some users feedback that the HarmonyOS App suffix is Hap, which is different from Android apk, but at present, there are very few Hongmeng apps.

It’s worth mentioning that Digital Chat Station also made it clear that more new apps compiled based on HarmonyOS are already in beta testing, so you should be able to see more apps adapted to HarmonyOS before the consumer version arrives.

Previously, Huawei has explained the difference between HarmonyOS and other cell phone systems, saying that HarmonyOS is not a replacement for Android or a copy of iOS, the real development is started in May 2016 Huawei has been doing it for 5 years, the positioning of HarmonyOS is the operating system of the era of Internet of everything.
