Redmi K40 Gaming Edition Debuts: Price, Specifications, Features
On the evening of April 27, Redmi held a new product launch event, officially bringing the long-awaited Redmi’s first gaming phone, the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition along with Bruce Lee Special Edition.

Lu Weibing, general manager of the Redmi brand, announced in Beijing that Redmi is officially entering the gaming phone space, “making it a long-term strategy to be a professional gaming phone.” According to Lu, the three major pain points of today’s gaming phones are: too fancy, too heavy, too expensive, and forced to be relegated to a backup phone. The industry woes of gaming phones include great demand, very small scales, and very expensive. All mentioned problems, Redmi Gaming Phone may solve.

The Redmi K40 Gaming Edition features a 6.67-inch OLED flexible central perforated straight screen with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 and supports a high refresh rate of 120Hz and an ultra-high touch sampling rate of 480Hz for three fingers. In addition, this screen also supports a 1.07 billion color display and super-resolution touch technology, which can improve the operation accuracy in games by 660% and bring a smoother gaming experience.
Although it is a straight screen, the K40 Gaming Edition uses a flexible screen and COP packaging process to narrow the bezel and chin of the phone, with the lower bezel being 2.7mm and the other three bezels all being 1.8mm equal in width.
