Huawei Kirin 9000L Specifications
As we all know, Huawei is facing a serious chip crisis because of the sanctions. According to this news, Huawei will hold a press conference in May (tentatively), the official launch of the heavyweight flagship phone Huawei P50 Series, but the series in fact with which chip has become the biggest question.
Today, there is the latest news that Huawei will launch a new flagship chip – Kirin 9000L. According to the report, Huawei P50 standard version or Huawei Nova 9 Series will debut Huawei Kirin 9000L chip, the chip will be built using Samsung 5nm EUV process, the overall design is similar to Kirin 9000, Kirin 9000E, but the configuration has been reduced.
According to the report from WHYLAB, the Kirin 9000L will have the CPU core A77 at 2.86GHz, while the previous Kirin 9000 and Kirin 9000E both used the 3.13GHz A77 core. As for the GPU, Kirin 9000L has a larger reduction compared to the other two, with an 18-core Mali-G78 CPU, while the big brother Kirin 9000 and Kirin 9000E have 24 and 22 cores respectively.
Besides, for Huawei’s more important NPU, Kirin 9000L also has a simple configuration, retaining only one NPU core, while the previous Kirin 9000E has 1 core + 1 micro-core, and the top Kirin 9000 has a combination of 2 cores + 1 micro-core. The Kirin 9000L has a similar architecture and CPU performance as the top version, but the GPU and NPU have been drastically reduced, so the chip will be slightly inferior in terms of display and image performance.
