In terms of design, the Vivo S9 has changed more than its predecessor, with a straight-edge center frame design and a mirrored aerospace aluminum center frame material, one of the few phones that can stand upright on the desktop today.

Vivo’s S has always been the main focus is thin and light, this time the S9 is breaking the record of Vivo’s thinnest 5G phone, with a thickness of only 7.35mm and a weight of 173g. On the front screen, Vivo S9 adopts the design of micro bangs. Vivo called to avoid obvious deformation of the face when taking selfies, Vivo S9 places the front camera in the center, just to achieve a better selfie effect.

The flagship octa-core architecture CPU is also used, including four A78 cores at up to 2.6GHz and up to nine ARM G77 architecture GPUs. Besides, the Vivo S9 is equipped with UFS 3.1 flash memory, which will have a more significant increase in the installation speed of applications.

The S9e, another member of the Vivo S9 series, also has a thin and light exterior shape. It has a front and rear 2.5D glass and flat center frame design and is very similar to the Vivo S9 overall. It comes with an OLED waterdrop screen that supports a 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate, a 32MP extreme night selfie camera on the front, and a 64MP Ultra HD main camera lens, a 120-degree wide-angle camera, and a 4cm macro camera on the rear.

In terms of performance, the Vivo S9e is equipped with another processor from MediaTek, the Dimensity 820, a chip that you are already familiar with and will not be repeated. In terms of battery, the Vivo S9 has a 4000mAh battery and the Vivo S9e has a 4100mAh battery, both of which support a maximum of 33W flash charging. Both phones ship with Vivo’s new OriginOS operating system.

The Vivo S9 is available in three colors: Impression Light, Morning Dew White, and Midnight Blue; the Vivo S9e is available in Aqua Crystal Diamond, Starry Night Aurora, and Black Flare.

In terms of pricing, the Vivo S9 8GB+128GB version is priced at 2,999 yuan and the 12GB+256GB version is priced at 3,299 yuan; pre-orders are now fully open, and on March 12, the entire line will be available for sale. The Vivo S9e 8GB+128GB version is priced at 2399 yuan and the 8GB+256GB version is priced at 2699 yuan.
