At MWC 2021 Shanghai, ZTE Showcased Under-screen 3D structured light technology And Second Generation Under-screen Camera Technology
2021 MWC Shanghai International Mobile Communications Exhibition officially opened today at the Shanghai New International Expo Center. This year’s 2021 MWC Shanghai is a three-day event with the theme of “Harmony and Coexistence” focusing on the latest technological breakthroughs and industrial ecology such as 5G, Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, Smart Home, smart mobility, etc. to stimulate industry innovation and promote harmony and coexistence.
At this year’s exhibition, ZTE Mobile entered with the second generation of mass production under-screen camera technology, and the world’s first under-screen 3D structured light technology debut. At the exhibition, ZTE showcased prototypes using both technologies.
Lv Qianhao pointed out that the second generation of ZTE’s first mass-production under-screen camera technology has a qualitative evolution compared to the generation, as follows:
- Super retina display: under-screen camera area display pixels from the previous generation of 200ppi to 400ppi pixels, the two display areas of the display fine and consistent.
- Ultra-smooth dynamic screen: the screen refresh rate has been increased from 90Hz to 120Hz.
- Super perceptive light transmission technology is also the Nth generation of CUD technology.
Lv Qianhao stressed that the second generation of under-screen camera technology has more qualitative leaps to bring a new stunning experience, so stay tuned. According to previously disclosed information, the second generation of under-screen camera technology will be premiered with the ZTE Axon 30 Pro, which seems to mean that the refresh rate of the ZTE Axon 30 Pro is 120Hz.
At the exhibition, ZTE Mobile also brought the world’s first under-screen 3D structured light technology to showcase. The under-screen 3D structured light has 3D face recognition and live detection, which is more secure than ordinary 2D solutions and reaches payment level, making it the most secure biometric technology available, and can also be used for other application scenarios such as 3D modeling and AR.
For the consumer sector, ZTE also brought a variety of innovative 5G terminal products to the show, including 5G smartphones, smart ecological products, mobile Internet terminals, and Telematics terminals of ZTE, Nubia, and Red Magic, opening up a new 5G all-scene smart life.
At the exhibition site, not only ZTE Axon 20 Supreme Edition, Blade 20 Pro, Blade V2021, Red Magic 5S, and other 5G smartphones were all on display. ZTE Watch Live watch, GaN (Gallium Nitride) fast charger, TWS headphones, Nubia eco-products, and other diversified smart terminal products were also presented at the show.
