MediaTek MT6895
Following the release of 6nm Dimensity 1100/1200 flagship-level processors, Lu Weibing confirmed that the Redmi brand will launch a gaming phone with Dimensity 1200. Today, besides the above two SoC: MT6891 and MT6893 (Dimensity 1100 and 1200), Weibo blogger mention MediaTek MT6895 with 3.2GHz clock speed, and Xiaomi or Redmi will be first to launch or will be a customized exclusive version.
From the naming, MediaTek MT6895 will be slightly stronger than the MT6893 and Mt6891, we only know that Xiaomi’s engineering machine is equipped with this chip up to 3.2GHz, but the specific parameters are unknown yet. From the naming positioning reasonable speculation, MT6895 is expected to equal or even partially surpass the Dimensity 1200 chip.
The MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chip, using TSMC’s 6nm process, with one Cortex-A78 large core 3.0GHz, three Cortex-A78 2.6GHz, four Cortex-A55 2.0GHz cores, performance improved by 22% and 25% energy efficiency improvement.
Previously, Xiaomi launched the Redmi 10X 5G in the first half of last year, the first MediaTek Dimensity 820 chip, AnTuTu running score of about 400,000 can be equivalent to the Snapdragon 855 level, and exclusive for nearly a year.
According to MediaTek’s product line, there are plans for 5nm chips in the follow-up, but before that, mid- and low-end chips may be launched in order to ship them on a large scale and win more market share.
