The current market trend is going with a large and full-screen design, but still, there is some user who loves to handle compact size products, but manufacturers don’t insist. There are only iPhone 12 mini, with compact size and powerful performance available for choice. Now, this could be changed with the upcoming Sony Xperia Compact 2021. The last Sony Xperia Compact smartphone was released in 2018 and now Sony is planning to revive the series in 2021, as well known tipster ‘OnLeaks shared Sony Xperia Compact rendering on the Voice network.

The upcoming phone will reportedly feature a 5.5-inch screen, and the images show a teardrop-shaped notch for the front camera and a noticeably thicker bezel at the bottom. The display is flat and there is no mention of whether it supports a high refresh rate. Two cameras are placed on the back of the phone, which are vertically aligned along with the LED flash. There is nothing else on the back except the camera and the Sony logo.

The fingerprint recognition module of the Sony Xperia Compact 2021 is placed on the side of the phone, integrated into the power button. On the right side of the phone, there is an additional button in addition to the volume and power buttons. This button could be used for capturing photos or waking up google assistant.

The SIM card tray is on the left side, and as we can see from the design, it can be opened without a card pin. Sony Xperia Compact 2021 has one advantage over Apple’s smaller iPhone 12 Mini is a 3.5mm headphone jack on top. There is a USB-C port on the bottom. The source says the phone has an 8-megapixel selfie camera and a 13-megapixel main rear camera, and also gives its dimensions as 140 x 68.9 x 8.9 mm. The positioning is still unknown, whether flagship or mid-range.

Sony Xperia 10 III Rendering

Besides the compact Xperia phone, OnLeaks also brought Sony Xperia 10 III renderings, showing that the design of the machine remains largely unchanged from last year’s model. According to OnLeaks, compared to the Xperia 10 Ⅱ, the Xperia 10 Ⅲ uses the same design language with 6-inch screen size, a 21:9 screen aspect ratio, and no bangs or holes.
will feature a 6-inch flat display with no bangs or waterdrop design, which also means that the bezels will be a bit wider than what we’re used to seeing on today’s mid-range and high-end models. Overall, the device will measure 154.4mm × 68.4mm × 8.3mm.

The device is also expected to come with an 8-megapixel front-facing camera, dual front-facing speakers, and a triple-camera setup on the back. OnLeaks speculates that the Xperia 10 III will come with a 12-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel telephoto lens, and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle lens.

Hemmerstoffer also claims that the device will retain the 3.5mm headphone jack located at the top of the phone, which is a rarity in today’s smartphone market. Unfortunately, details about the Xperia 10 Ⅲ’s processor, battery, fast charging, and imaging are unknown for now. The previous generation Xperia 10 Ⅱ used a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor with 4GB of RAM and a 3600mAh battery. Considering the positioning of the Xperia 10 Ⅲ, the processor upgrade should not be significant and it may still be a 4G phone.
