Xiaomi has already announced that its new machine Xiaomi Mi 11 will make its global debut, and the friendly brand Redmi is naturally not far behind. The Redmi general manager Lu Weibing said on Weibo that Redmi will also be the first to carry the Snapdragon 888 processor. The first batch will be unveiled in Q1 next year, and the model to be equipped with it may be the K series, with the K40 series as the naming iteration rule.
There’s not much information about the K40 series, but the previous news showed that it’s not an elevated front camera, but a perforated screen design with an OLED screen and support for 120Hz high refresh rates. As for the price, Redmi has always focused on the ultimate price/performance ratio and is expected to be one of the cheapest Snapdragon 888 models.
Recently not only is the Xiaomi Mi 11 widely concerned, but Xiaomi’s Redmi K40 also makes many people look forward to it. Finally, Redmi K40 live photos appeared online on Weibo. According to the live photos (Prototype in pictures) and multiple sources, Redmi K40 uses a centered OLED straight screen, the screen has only one hole, the aperture is 3.7mm, 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, the bezel is narrower than the previous generation, the display effect can be assured, certainly better than LCD.
At the bottom of the device, 3.5mm headphone, USB Type-C, and loudspeaker arranged, as the top of the device is not shown in pictures, we couldn’t confirm if it has stereo speakers. At top of one side, the SIM card adaptor is located. And finally the rear, Redmi K40 camera is located in a rectangular with rounded border shape which has bumped slightly. Redmi K40 camera module includes a total of four cameras, including one with a large bottom. The layout uses a 1+2+1 design, among them the main lens is on top, below that two side-by-side cameras, and at the bottom the fourth lens. The flashlight is located next to the camera module with the tag of ‘Ultra-Premium’, giving a hint of Redmi K40 Ultra?
The specific parameters are still unknown while it can be speculated that in terms of photography, the Redmi K30 soared to 64 megapixels, and it’s not surprising that the K40 was upgraded to 108 megapixels this time, plus it’s time to boost the 33W charging power. The Redmi K40 may have 44W wired fast charging and at least a 5200mAh battery.
