Shi Yaohong said that in 2015, it took Huawei 10 minutes to produce a cell phone per production line, and in 2020, it will take only 27 seconds to produce a cell phone per production line.
Earlier, Zheng Yelai, chairman of Huawei Cloud Computing Technology Co., Ltd. and president of Huawei’s cloud business, said at the Caijing annual meeting, “The Mate series we produce, through refined cost management, required 97 people per production line in 2015, and today the Mate 40 requires only 14 people per production line.
Also, it has been reported that Huawei seems to be starting its chipset production, with the first to use the 45nm process, which is expected to go into production by the end of this year, and a 28nm process production line is also planned.
