According to information revealed by source, Qualcomm Snapdragon 875 specifications contain a “1+3+4” octa-core design, with the “1” being the massive Cortex X1 with 2.84GHz, which offers 23 percent higher peak performance than the Cortex A78. The three performance cores feature Cortex A78 with 2.42GHz clock speed and the four energy-efficient cores are using Cortex A55 with a clock speed of 1.8GHz. For graphic Processing, Snapdragon 875 uses in house designed Adreno 660 GPU.

Talking about Samsung’s Exynos 2100, it also uses the same 1+3+4 design using the same core one Cortex X1 + three Cortex A78 + four A55 core. Snapdragon 875 and Exynos 2100 difference is the clock speed of cores. Snapdragon 875 uses 2.84Ghz × 1 + 2.42Ghz × 3 + 1.8Ghz × 4; while Exynos 2100 brings slightly higher clock speed 2.91Ghz × 1 + 2.81Ghz × 3 + 2.21Ghz × 4. Samsung Exynos 2100 GPU is Mali-G78, the number of GPU cores is yet unknown.

Huawei Kirin 9000 is already in the market with Mate 40 Pro and a higher version. Kirin 9000 uses 1 × Cortex A77 @ 3.13Ghz + 3 × Cortex A77 @ 2.54Ghz + 4 × Cortex A55 @ 2.04Ghz and Mali-G78 MP24 GPU. The big core is one generation old but the 5nm process, Huawei’s algorithms, and high clock speed make it competitive.

Snapdragon 875, Kirin 9000, and Exynos 2100 Geekbench Performance Comparison

While comparing the performance, Snapdragon 875 and Exynos 2100 test devices are still prototyped while Kirin 9000 is a finalized device. So final performance may be different in the future. According to the data in hand, On Geekbench performance results, Snapdragon 875 single-core and multi-core scores are 1105 and 3512 points respectively; Kirin 9000 scored 1001 and 3653 points, and the Exynos 2100 scored 1040 and 3107 points.

Snapdragon 875 vs Kirin 9000 vs Snapdragon 865 Performance Comparison on Lulu Master

A few days ago, the blogger’s Digital Chat Station also revealed the Snapdragon 875 engineering platform’s running scores, based on the testing software Lulu Master. According to Lu Master testing results, Snapdragon 875 prototype device achieved 333269 points for CPU and 342225 for GPU (CPU+GPU: 675494); Huawei Mate 40 Pro using Kirin 9000 achieved 275862 for CPU and 344334 for GPU (CPU+GPU: 620196); the Snapdragon 865 on iQOO 5 Pro achieved 290169 and 294913 for CPU and GPU respectively, a total of 585082 points.

Snapdragon 875 will be built with Samsung’s 5nm technology. Samsung’s new 5nm process aims to replace the 7nm and is officially labeled to bring a 10% performance boost and a 20% reduction in power consumption at the same frequency. The density is 1.33 times that of the previous generation.

It is said that the 5nm LPE introduces a multi-layer EUV process and FinFET transistors are also on board at the microscopic level with smart dual melting point separation, flexible placement of contacts, and other technologies that are turned to low-power scenario optimization.
