Huawei Mate 40 Pro Teardown
The Huawei Mate 40 series will be released in China tomorrow, having already been released overseas, and a Huawei Mate 40 Pro teardown video has already been carried out by Chinese media.
The device is similar to other phones with glass backs, which require heating the back cover for a few minutes and then removing it using suction cups and a wrecker.
Open the back cover, you can see the motherboard and battery covered with a middle frame, respectively, containing a laser focus module, NFC sensor coil, wireless charging coil, integrated into the same module, with two thermal stickers.
The device supports 50W wireless charging, making it the highest wireless charging power Huawei phone available.
After disconnecting the battery cable, you can take out the rear camera of the Huawei Mate 40 Pro separately, where the telephoto camera is integrated separately, while the main camera and the wide-angle are in the same module.
Huawei Mate 40 Pro camera specs are as follows.

- Telephoto: 12 MP, f/3.4, 125 mm, PDAF, OIS, 5x optical zoom.
- Ultra wide-angle: 20 MP, f/1.8, 18 mm, PDAF.
- There’s also an 8-megapixel zoom camera with 10x optical zoom and OIS optical image stabilization, as well as a 3D depth camera with autofocus support.
Then remove the motherboard, all components and chips are covered by a metal cover, you can see the ROM chip, while the Kirin 9000 is encapsulated underneath the ROM and can’t be disassembled, so you can’t see it.
Battery, Huawei Mate 40 Pro is equipped with a 16.94Wh (3.85V, 4400mAh) battery, which is reduced compared to the previous generation Mate 30 Pro’s 4500mAh.
