Huawei Mate X2 Live Photo
According to the latest revelation from Huawei’s Consumer Business CEO, Yu Chengdong, previously revealed in his journal video at HDC 2020, “everything will be on schedule”, signaling the arrival of the new Huawei Mate 40 series, Huawei’s iconic flagship for the second half of the year. It’s also worth noting that a very distinctive folding screen flagship, the Huawei Mate X series, has been planned this year too.
Today Weibo blogger revealed Huawei Mate X2 Live Photo saying outward folding phone from Huawei. According to the Huawei Mate X2 Live Photo, the flagship is using a full screen with no cutout and holes on the main screen when unfolded and the folding hing effects on display are notably visible.

Following a design patent that was previously rumored to be the design of the new Huawei Mate X2, the leaked live photo is constant with it. According to the previous news, Huawei Mate X2 folding screen phone also has dual internal and external screens, the inner screen continues the full-screen design style of the Huawei Mate X and Huawei MateXs, and will abandon the previous external folding screen design, in favor of a book-style inner folding flexible screen scheme, all around the narrow frame and with equal width, the screen-to-body ratio is expected to be quite good.
On the back of the phone, the device features a similar design approach to the Huawei P40 series, with a rear-mounted matrix camera module. Elsewhere, the new Huawei Mate X2 will feature the same 8-inch foldable display as the Mate X and Xs and will support a laptop mode and possibly a split-screen feature that will allow users to write at the top and use the keyboard at the bottom.
The Huawei Mate X2 is not expected to be unveiled this year due to the tough situation Huawei is currently facing, and we will have to wait and see what solution Huawei will adopt to launch this next-generation folding screen flagship.
