Samsung previously launched the Galaxy W20 5G foldable phone in China, which is a 5G version of the original Galaxy Fold. Now it looks like Samsung is preparing to launch its successor “Samsung Galaxy W21 5G” phone in china. The Galaxy W21 5G has recently been certified by China’s 3C and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology – MIIT.

The model number of the Samsung W20 5G is SM-W2020 and the 3C and MIIT have approved a Samsung device using the SM-W2021. The final name of the SM-W2021 is not yet known, but it is speculated that it may be officially called the W21 5G.

At the moment, the SM-W2021 has the least amount of information on the MIIT list. An image of the device has not yet appeared in the MIIT. The listing shows that the device measures 128.2 x 159.2 x 6.2mm and its home screen measures 6.23 inches. It has a dual battery of 2090mAh + 2160mAh (rated).

The Galaxy W21 5G could very well end up being the Chinese version of the Galaxy Z Fold 2. It’s also the new “heartfelt” folding screen flagship from Samsung and Telstra, which is rumored to have the same folding screen design and tough specs as the Z Fold 2 but will be upgraded dual SIM card function Typical of the global version of the Z Fold2 is that it has a 4,500mAh battery. The size and display dimensions of the device match those of the Galaxy Z Fold 2.

The Galaxy W21 5G’s 3C certification indicates that it is 5G-enabled. The Galaxy W20 5G was officially launched in November last year. So, the Galaxy W21 5G is likely to be launched at a similar time this year as well.
