Apple iPhone 13 Series Exposure
Industry rumors suggest that Apple is likely to officially launch its iPhone 12 series on October 13, making it the first 5G phone from Apple. Existing news claims that the iPhone 12 series contains four models, starting with the 5.4-inch iPhone 12 mini and topping it off with the 6.7-inch iPhone 12 Pro Max, of which the latter will be how the configuration will be noticed by many fans. Today a new report from analyst revealed Apple iPhone 13 Series models and specifications.
According to a new leak from Ross Young (Display Analyst), Apple’s iPhone 13 Series model lineup will some very big features upgrade. Published specifications details, Ross Young States, “Like DSCC, Mizuho Securities also says no new iPhone SE model in 2021, have to wait till 2022. They do say all iPhone 13 models will have integrated touch, BOE will join LGD on both 6.1″ models, mini and 13 will adopt 12 Pro Max camera sensors, & sensor size will increase on Pro.“
The leak also revealed that four iPhone 13 models including iPhone 13 Mini (5.4-inch), iPhone 13 (6.06-inch), iPhone 13 Pro (6.06-inch) and iPhone 13 Pro Max (6.67-inch) will be in released in 2021, approximately in between September to October. There is also an iPhone SE 3 model with 6.06-inch, but will be delayed to 2022 spring. Ross Young also confirms that ProMotion will be the most important feature of the iPhone 13 Series which will use variable refresh rate using LTPO technology.
The most important development on the iPhone 13 models from my perspective will be ProMotion with variable refresh rates through LTPO adoption on the Pro models.

According to the specifications chart shared by Ross Young, iPhone 13 Series lower end model iPhone 13 Mini and iPhone 13 will adopt camera configuration from iPhone 12 Pro Max (Dual Camera, 1.7um pixel size) while iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max increase pixel size up to 1.9um which is said to the right direction in the terms photography field. Pro series also hosts three lenses and a ToF sensor.
In terms of connectivity, Pro Series will bring mmWave with Sub 6Ghz 5G while the lower end model will only get sub 6Ghz. Talking about display suppliers, iPhone 13 Pro Max display is from SDC, Pro, and standard 13 model display from LGD+BOE, while iPhone 13 Mini display comes from SDC+LGD. All four models will use OLED display and face ID.
The latecomer iPhone SE 3 said to be equipped with an LCD from Sharp and JDI, supports Sub 6 only, uses a dual camera with 1.4um pixel size same as iPhone 11, fingerprint sensor, and no ToF sensor.
The most fascinating thing here is that if this is valid, the less expensive iPhone reputed to be coming in Spring 2021 has been postponed a year likely due to startlingly high deals of the current iPhone SE and will increase an additional camera and 5G out of it.
