On the afternoon of September 22, Huami held the Amazfit 2020 fall launch, bringing two watches, the Amazfit GTR 2 and Amazfit GTS 2, one with a round dial and another one with a rectangular dial.
Huami Amazfit GTR 2
The Huami Amazfit GTR 2 has a 1.39-inch AMOLED screen with a maximum brightness of 450nit, a newly designed 50 exquisite dials, and 40 holographic dials. The screen is coated with an extremely hard diamond-like coating, making it resistant to 15,000 rubs of steel wool. The 3D glass crystal adds to the simplicity, unity, and elegance of the entire watch, each of which undergoes 35 processes and 27 hours of polishing.
The overall design continues the classic sleek style with small lugs to make the watch lighter and more fluid, while the buttons are thinner than those of the first generation, making them more integrated with the dial.
The Amazfit GTR 2 continues the acclaimed heart rate engine of the previous generation, which can provide 24-hour comprehensive care for heart health, and introduces the newly developed second-generation PPG optical sensor BioTracker 2, which brings more accurate and comprehensive health data.
Amazfit GTR 2 introduces the blood oxygen engine OxygenBeats and the sleeping engine SomnusCare, the combination of the two engines can provide sleep breathing quality monitoring, monitoring whether there is poor breathing during sleep and give a score. The oximetry engine has a 96% success rate, with an average error rate of 1.6% compared to medical-grade oximeters; the sleeping engine accurately identifies sleep stages and naps.
In terms of exercise, Amazfit GTR 2 currently supports 12 professional exercise modes and will support 90 in the future. Besides, the Amazfit GTR 2 is equipped with a nine-axis motion sensor, GPS+GLONASS positioning, and 50-meter water resistance.
The new watch comes with 4GB of built-in storage for nearly 600 songs, making it possible to transfer music from iPhone and Android phones across all platforms, in addition to bringing Netflix to the watch.
The Amazfit GTR 2 comes with an offline smart voice assistant. The offline smart voice assistant can control the watch using voice commands without an internet connection or Bluetooth connection to the phone, taking only 1.6 seconds to respond, and currently supports more than 70 commands. Also supports APP message notifications, SMS notifications, linear motor to simulate 13 kinds of vibration, NFC bus card, and Paypal offline payment.
On the battery life data, standard 14 days, up to 38 days in long battery life mode. In terms of price, the Amazfit GTR 2 Sport Edition is priced at RMB 999; the Classic Edition, which comes with a leather strap, is priced at RMB 1,099. Huami Amazfit GTS 2
Huami Amazfit GTS 2 is lighter and thinner than its predecessor, with a thickness and weight of 9.7mm and 24.7 grams, respectively. Following a sleek, integrated, and immersive design philosophy, it features a curved design on the sides of the body that blends perfectly with the side buttons.
The Amazfit GTS 2 also supports a large number of dials and holographic displays and combines three different materials – glass, metal, and organic – in a single color and texture that is available in Obsidian Black, Luminescent Gold, and Rusty Gold, three very nice colorways of dolphin gray.
The Amazfit GTS 2 currently supports 12 professional sports modes and will support up to 90 in the future.
