Apple Watch Series Don’t Have Charging Head
Earlier Apple unveiled the new Apple Watch Series 6 and Apple Watch SE, and for the first time, Apple says the new Apple Watch does not come with a charger in the box to reduce its carbon footprint.
Why Apple Watch don’t have a charging head? Here is the official response from Lisa Jackson, Apple’s VP of Environment, Policy, and Social Initiatives.
“Sometimes it’s not what we make, but what we don’t make, that counts. We know that customers have been accumulating USB power adapters and that producing millions of unneeded adapters consumes resources and adds to our carbon footprint. So this year, we are removing the USB power adapter from Apple Watch.”

As part of our efforts to reach our environmental goals, Apple Watch Series 6, Apple Watch SE, Apple Watch Series 3, and Apple Watch Nike do not include a power adapter. Please use your existing Apple Watch power adapter or add a new one before you check out.
As printed on Apple’s official website.
The new Apple Watch continues to come with a 1-meter-long magnetic charging cable in the box, but the 5W power adapter that used to come with the watch is not included in the box.
There have been rumors that Apple is also planning to eliminate the power adapter from the iPhone 12 models to save money for cost and environmental reasons, and the removal of the power adapter from the Apple Watch box seems to confirm those plans.
However, the new iPad Air announced at the same time, will continue to carry the power adapter, a new 20W USB-C power adapter that works with the new USB-C port that replaces the Lightning port. The eighth-generation low-cost iPad also comes with the same 20W power adapter, as well as a USB-C to Lightning cable for charging.
