Microsoft Surface Duo Unboxing
Microsoft Surface Duo will go on sale on September 10, but the media Android Authority has now got the machine and brought a Microsoft Surface Duo Unboxing video.
The media outlet still can’t reveal the machine’s software systems due to a confidentiality agreement, so the unboxing video focuses on the Microsoft Surface Duo’s hardware systems, including its signature thickness, a body made entirely of glass and metal, and a hinge that rotates 360°.
Described by Microsoft as “the thinnest mobile device on the market,” the device is just 4.8mm thick on one side and about 9.6mm thick when in a folded state, and weighs 250 grams.
Elsewhere, the device has dual PixelSense Fusion Fusion displays, up to 8.1 inches when open and up to 5.6 inches on a single screen, a USB-C charging port, and fingerprint recognition on the side, with no buttons or ports present on the top of the device.
The hinge it uses is its biggest draw, which Microsoft says took too much time to design.AndroidAuthority says the hinge experience is quite smooth, with the ability to rotate a full 360° circle or stop in any position. Users can use it in a variety of states such as a laptop or tent. It has thick bezels (bezels) at the top and bottom, as well as an 11-megapixel camera, along with a flash on the right display.
As the machine is made almost entirely of glass and metal, for stability, Microsoft included a silicone sleeve in the box to ensure it was as undamaged as possible. In terms of accessories, Microsoft has provided an 18W quick charger that connects via a USB-C port.
