iPhone 12 OLED Display Module
Aa the time is getting closer and closer to the release of the iPhone 12 this fall, more leaks from Apple’s supply chain began to surface. Today, Mr-white has revealed the OLED display module used by the iPhone 12.
It’s hard to discern much detail from the image itself, and the accompanying tweet doesn’t provide much more context than the “iPhone 12 OLED screen”. It’s not yet easy to determine what the size of the display is, or how big the bangs notch is.

Apple is expected to release four new iPhone 12 models with 5G and OLED displays this year. iPhone 12 series will be available in 5.4-inch and 6.1-inch screen sizes, while iPhone 12 Pro series will be available in 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch screen sizes. This burst of display components is likely to be for the 5.4-inch or 6.1-inch iPhone 12.
The iPhone 12 series will be the first time that Apple’s entire flagship iPhone line will feature an OLED screen. iPhone X was the first iPhone to switch to OLED, but Apple has also introduced new LCD iPhones. for example, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max Both Max have OLED displays, but the iPhone 11 still uses an LCD screen.
Apple has previously confirmed that the iPhone 12 will be released “a few weeks later” than last year’s iPhone 11. Given that Apple is expected to release four different iPhone 12 models, it’s possible that some sort of staggered release schedule could be in place. In fact, a new recent supply chain report suggests that Apple could launch the 5G iPhone in two phases, with two 6.1-inch models in the first phase and two more 6.7- and 5.4-inch devices in the second.
