Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 875 flagship platform is based on a 5nm process, and the Samsung Exynos 1000 will be a 5nm flagship chip for mass production and commercial use during the same period.

The buzz is that Exynos 1000 is being premiered by the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, and it will integrate an AMD GPU, with performance to be expected; And on the other hand, Exynos 991 and 992 will be without AMD GPU.

Source, also notes that Samsung has considered using the Exynos 990 but couldn’t keep up with the Snapdragon 865 and will avoid using it in its 2021 flagship. The Snapdragon 875 is also more expensive, forcing Samsung to look for an alternative.

According to the sammobile report, Samsung is working on three models namely – SM-G991, SM-G996, and SM-G998. If Samsung doesn’t mix up the naming scheme, these devices should launch as the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and Galaxy S21 Ultra.

On the other hand, ARM Cortex A78 and Cortex X1 have already been released, and unsurprisingly the Exynos 1000 will feature Cortex A78 and Cortex X1 architecture for a combination architecture with huge cores, so we’ll see what happens.
