Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 and Galaxy Tab S7+ Specifications and Official Rendering, and Comparison
Today, the most trusted source, winfuture has just revealed the official renders and core configuration information of Samsung’s upcoming tablets Galaxy Tab S7 and Galaxy Tab S7+, the new devices will compete with Apple’s iPad Pro and Microsoft Surface.
Samsung has increased the display size of the Galaxy Tab S7 to 11.0 inches and the Galaxy Tab S7+ to 12.4 inches, the first time in years that Samsung has offered two tablet sizes in one series. The two new Samsung tablets are in many ways the same if you don’t consider the size. The Galaxy Tab S7 and S7+ will also be available in 5G-enabled versions for the first time.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 uses an 11-inch LTPS LCD with a resolution of 2560×1600, a pixel density of 274ppi, a maximum brightness of 500 nits, and a refresh rate of 120Hz. Because of the LCD, no off-screen fingerprint is used but is located on the side of the device case.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S7+ uses a 12.4-inch Super AMOLED panel produced by Samsung’s production, with a resolution of 2800 × 1752, with a pixel density of 287ppi. 420 nits of maximum brightness are not as high as the LCD in the small model, but because of OLED, the display should not be much different. The maximum refresh rate is also 120 Hz, and because it uses an OLED panel, it supports screen fingerprinting.
Both of these new Samsung tablets each come with an improved S-pen stylus with a reported latency of just 9 milliseconds. Gesture control with the stylus is also available on the Tab S7 model.
Both the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 and S7+ are powered by the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ SoC, and thanks to the Snapdragon X55 modem, the new phone is available in a version that supports 5G network connectivity. Besides, the new tab has at least 6GB of LPDDR5X RAM and at least 128GB of internal flash storage. The 5G-enabled version has larger internal storage of up to 256GB, expandable up to 1TB with a MicroSD card.
The cameras on the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 and Galaxy Tab S7+ are more powerful for a tablet. There are two 13MP and 5MP resolution cameras on the back of each model, with the main camera having an aperture of f/2.0 and the super wide-angle camera having an aperture of f/2.2, both of which can record 4K video at 30 FPS, as well as a flash. The new front camera is 8 megapixels with an aperture of f/2.0.
In terms of battery, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 is 7040mAh, while the Galaxy Tab S7+ is a whopping 10090mAh and can be charged via USB-C. A power adapter with up to 45W of power can be purchased, but all that’s included is a 15W charger.
Samsung also offers a new keyboard case with a built-in trackpad, which also works in a desktop environment using Wireless DeX, meaning the cover has an enlarged trackpad and full-size buttons. There are four speakers on the new device, which have been optimized by AKG audio experts and Dolby Atmos added and will provide excellent sound.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 is 6.34 mm thick and weighs 495 grams. The Galaxy Tab S7+, on the other hand, is just 5.7 mm thick and weighs 590 grams, will be available in Mystic Black, Mystic Bronze, and Mystic Silver colors and is likely to be unveiled at the Galaxy Note 20 Series launch on August 5. Currently no words for price information.
