MediaTek Dimensity 720 5G Introduction
Today, On July 23, MediaTek officially Introduced the latest MediaTek Dimensity 720, part of the MediaTek 5G family of chips.
The Dimensity 720 is based on a 7nm process with an integrated low-power 5G modem and supports MediaTek’s 5G UltraSave power-saving technology. The chip supports MediaTek’s 5G UltraSave technology, which dynamically adjusts the modem’s operating mode based on the network environment and data transfer conditions to extend battery life.
Dimensity 720 also integrates excellent multimedia, wireless connectivity, and imaging features to enhance the overall user experience.
MediaTek Dimensity 720 Features
- Support the 90Hz screen refresh rate for fast and smooth gaming and streaming.
- Enhances HDR10+ video quality with MediaTek MiraVision for optimized video streaming. Supports a variety of video optimization features, such as dynamic range remapping.
- Supports flexible camera configurations up to 64-megapixel cameras and 20 + 16-megapixel dual-camera combinations. The integrated MediaTek APU (AI processor) also offers a range of AI camera enhancements.
- Integrated Voice-Wake-on-Wake (VoW) feature minimizes standby power consumption of the voice assistant. Support for dual-microphone noise cancellation technology enables the voice assistant to hear the user clearly, even in noisy environments.
The Dimensity 720 is powered by an octa-core CPU that includes two Arm Cortex-A76 cores clocked at 2GHz to improve application response and provide a smooth user experience. The Dimensity 720 also comes with Arm Mali G57 GPU, LPDDR4X RAM, and UFS 2.2 flash memory for faster read and write speeds.
The Dimensity 720 supports advanced 5G communication technologies, including independent (SA) and non-independent (NSA) networking in the Sub-6GHz band, 5G dual-carrier aggregation (2CC CA), VoNR voice services, and 5G and 4G dual SIM dual standby (DSDS) for a better communication experience for users.
