For many Mi fans, Xiaomi’s next big move may be the Mi MIX 4, and Lei Jun previously seemed to hint at the accelerated arrival of this heavyweight new opportunity on Weibo.

How should the future shape of the phone evolve? It’s still an unknown, and as of right now, what needs to be addressed is how to achieve a complete and high screen-to-body ratio screen.

Xiaomi had unveiled the MIX Alpha last year, using a surround screen form, a 7.92-inch OLED flexible screen, the front-back-side of the body almost wrapped by the screen, the screen-to-body ratio of 180.6 percent, but unfortunately has not yet mass-production market.

Now LetsGoDigital and Concept Creator jointly mapped out what the Xiaomi MIX 4 (Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha Pro) is expected to look like based on Xiaomi’s previously filed patents, and it looks so fantastic and futuristic that it shouldn’t be mass-produced to materialize shortly, right?

As you can see from the design, the Mi MIX 4 shows two versions of the concept model, one with a plain black casing and the other with a transparent casing similar to the transparent edition, which is equipped with a surround screen that not only gives a screen-to-body ratio of more than 100% on one side limits but also offers selfie lovers a more user-friendly option (the lower back of the body takes up about 60% of the display area).

The eye-catcher is the back of the fuselage, with a huge protruding camera on top, which is very exaggerated, surrounded by rings stacked to allow it to the telescope for multiple zooms, and transparent material, with the whole layout taking up almost two-thirds of the fuselage.

The screen of the Xiaomi Mi MIX Alpha is said to be manufactured by Visionox. Although the device was never officially released, the two companies have signed a multi-year agreement, and thus we expect to see their latest collaboration on the new device.

It should also be noted that the “AI Super Zoom” technology (with a 108-megapixel sensor) that Xiaomi previously described in a patent could be implemented in the MIX 4 this October.

However, the above is only a rendering based on the patented design, not a confirmed launch, most of the patented design is more of a laboratory state or creative protection, rarely the real meaning of mass production.
