Qualcomm has just officially unveiled the upgraded Snapdragon 865+, which boosts CPU and GPU frequencies on top of the Snapdragon 865. For the first time in the history of mobile SoCs, the CPU frequency has surpassed up to 3.09GHz. Just after Qualcomm announcement, Lenovo posted on Weibo announcing July 22 for Legion Gaming Phone release date, and further confirming the machine will also feature the world’s first Snapdragon 865 Plus processor.

According to previous reports, Lenovo’s legion gaming phone features a side pop-up camera design, dual 45W fast charging support, and as well as a dual X-axis linear motor, etc. The phone screen refresh rate is 144Hz, the resolution is FHD+ (2340×1080), and the touch sampling rate is 270Hz. Equipped with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of onboard storage, should be UFS 3.1 flash and LPDDR5 memory.
So, who will be debuting this new Snapdragon 865+? What was once thought to be an ASUS ROG Phone 3, the truncated one has arrived! Lenovo has officially announced that the Lenovo Legion gaming phone will be released on July 22 at 7:30 pm (Beijing time), with the world’s first Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ and the Rog Phone 3 will release same day but some hour later. It looks like Lenovo is still ahead of the game.
