iPhone SE 2 DxOMark Camera Review; In terms of the front camera, the DxOMark team believes that the Apple iPhone SE 2’s front camera is, in most cases, it provides accurate and pleasing colors, although a slight yellow tint can sometimes be seen. Exposure is accurate and consistent in most situations, though it can be a bit dark in low light. It’s also worth noting that the iPhone SE 2’s portrait mode simulates bokeh better, which makes it more competitive.

iPhone SE 2 DxOMark Camera Review; For the rear camera, the DxOMark team believes that the Apple iPhone SE 2 exposes well in most lighting conditions. The results are good, with excellent dynamic range and good control of exposure and high light levels. However, the exposure of the iPhone SE 2 drops significantly in low light conditions, and even with the flash on the iPhone SE 2, the sample size is reduced. With low exposure, little detail, and a lot of noise, the iPhone SE 2 is not ideal for night photography.

iPhone SE is a video phone with excellent performance. Video exposure is usually very good, and the shadow and highlight position control is suitable. Colors are also very pleasing in most cases, but underexposure in low light will cause the color saturation to be slightly lower, to avoid color shift phenomenon, and slight white balance inconsistencies under artificial lighting.
The iPhone SE’s 4K shooting provides good details, especially in high light. Unless shooting in dark light, the noise in the video can be well controlled.
There is still some room for improvement in autofocus tracking and anti-shake. The overall motion traces in the still shooting, panning, and walking while shooting videos are obvious, but the problem is not serious.

The rear camera on the Apple iPhone SE captures nice exposures, with wide dynamic range, pleasant color, and good detail in outdoor conditions. Indoor shots are well exposed, with accurate white balance and pleasant color. Night shots are less successful, because while exposure and color are acceptable, detail is low and noise is high. Depth estimation errors commonly occur in bokeh shots. Low detail, visible artifacts, and high noise affect the quality of zoom shots. Apple iPhone SE (2020): excellent target exposure and wide dynamic range Apple iPhone SE (2020): excellent target exposure with limited dynamic range Apple iPhone SE (2020): warm but pleasant white balance and well-saturated color Apple iPhone SE (2020): accurate white balance with good saturation and color uniformity Outdoor detail: good overall texture, but fine details lost Indoor noise: visible noise and low edge detail Artifacts: flare is often visible when shooting towards a bright light source. Apple iPhone SE 2020: artifacts medium-range zoom; low detail long-range zoom: ringing and aliasing artifacts indoor bokeh: acceptable subject segmentation outdoor bokeh: pleasant depth-of-field effect and uniform noise flash-auto: acceptable flash exposure and color, but limited dynamic range flash-off: low detail and visible noise
