Earlier this year, Samsung showed off its Odyssey line of gaming monitors at CES. While the Odyssey G7 and Odyssey G9 displays are already in pre-order status in the US, the Only the G7 is available in Korea. Now, the company has finally launched the Odyssey G9 globally.

The new gaming monitor is also the world’s first to support The HDR10+ monitor, thanks to its Display HDR 1000 certified QLED Panel.

This high-end gaming monitor won the CES 2020 Computer Peripherals and Accessories Award for its unique curved design. The Odyssey G9 features a 49-inch curved QLED panel with a 49-inch resolution of 1.5 mm. 5120×1440, with an aspect ratio of 32:9.

Besides, it has a high refresh rate of 240Hz, a response time of 1ms, and a peak brightness of 1000 nits. The monitor also covers 95% of the DCI-P3 color gamut and works with NVIDIA G-Sync compatible with AMD FreeSync Premium Pro. The display can also be rotated and tilted according to user requirements.

In terms of ports, the Odyssey G9 has two DisplayPort 1.4 ports, one DisplayPort 1.5 port, one DisplayPort 1.5 port, and one DisplayPort 1.5 port. HDMI 2.0 ports, three USB 3.0 ports, and a headphone jack. Besides, the monitor offers features such as a black equalizer and a virtual aiming point.
