Huawei Mate 40 Series 108MP 9P free-form lens
Huawei has two flagship series namely P series and Mate series. We have already seen the latest Huawei P40 Series, now its time for Huawei Mate 40 Series which is expected to be released in October with freeform lens.
As earlier, we have reported that Huawei Mate 40 Series will bring Kirin 1020 5G SoC which will be built on TSMC’s 5nm process. The second big upgrade will be a free-form lens on Huawei Mate 40.
Today well-known Weibo blogger Digital chat station revealed that, the free-form lens is expected to be shipping in the second half of this year. With the freeform lens technology of Vigorous Light, the Huawei Mate 40 series will use this to improve issues like image degradation and distortion caused by a large bottom lens.
Source also stated that a 9p lens has been developed and many optimizations and upgrades have been made for 100 megapixel’s lens. This suggests Huawei Mate 40 Series will use a free-form lens of 9p 108 megapixel’s sensor which surely improves image quality. Last year we have experienced Xiaomi CC9 Pro premium edition’s 108 megapixel’s lens with 8p technology in which performance is well satisfied.
