Vivo X50 vs Vivo X50 Pro vs Vivo X50 Pro+
VIVO has been very aggressive in 5G phones this year, they can take the Snapdragon 865 flagship to within 3,000 yuan, can take the Dimensity 1000 5G phone to the top of 2,000 yuan, very good price. Of the three phones released tonight, the X50, X50 Pro, and X50 Pro+, the Snapdragon 765G phone can fetch up to RMB 4698, which again struck many as a bit odd.
As Vivo’s flagship model, the selling point of the X-series has always been not price/performance, but thin and light, and the X50 weighs only 173g and is 7.49mm thick, which is very thin and light in the current 5G flagship.
The X50 series has a lot of innovations, especially the debut of the micro-cloud anti-shake technology, compared with the traditional OIS anti-shake, the micro-cloud anti-shake picture stabilization effect is more outstanding, without the edge blurring, solving the conventional handshake and motion generated by the jitter, especially the ordinary video mode can achieve the effect of other mobile phone super anti-shake, and the picture width is larger so that users can shoot clear and stable.
So how much of a difference do these three phones really make? Here we start understanding the difference between Vivo X50 vs Vivo X50 Pro vs Vivo X50 Pro+ (comparison chart at bottom).
Screen-wise, the X50/X50 Pro/X50 Pro+ are all using 6.56-inch AMOLED screens, of which the X50 is straight and the X50 Pro/X50 Pro+ is curved, with refresh rates of 90Hz, 90Hz, 120Hz and touch sampling rates of 180Hz, 180Hz, 240Hz respectively. Obviously, the X50 Pro+ is slightly better, but the 90Hz/180Hz sampling rate is not bad.
In terms of design, the X50 Pro+ uses a more upscale vegetal leather material, available in camel and gravity colors.
Hardware-wise, the X50/X50 Pro uses a Snapdragon 765G processor, 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM, flash memory is UFS 2.0 and UFS 2.1, respectively, and the X50 Pro+ uses LPDDR5 RAM but doesn’t specify storage type, but the processor has been upgraded to Snapdragon 865, which should be what many people are most concerned about.
Personally, the X50 and X50 Pro might as well be upgraded to the Dimensity 1000+ processor, and the X50 Pro+ only offers 256GB of capacity at the most, which is a bit less.
For battery and fast charging, the X50/X50 Pro are 4200mAh, 4315mAh, and 33W flash charging respectively, which is basically no different, while the X50 Pro+ is a 4350mAh battery with not much-upgraded capacity, but fast charging is upgraded to 44W.
The biggest difference is, of course, the rear camera, the X50 is a 48-megapixel main camera + 13-megapixel portrait + 8-megapixel wide-angle + 5-megapixel macro lens, the main camera is an IMX598 custom sensor, while the X50 Pro is a 48-megapixel main camera + 13-megapixel portrait + 8-megapixel periscope telephoto lens + 8-megapixel wide-angle macro lens, both of which are IMX598 custom sensors, but the X50 Pro is stronger in telephoto and wide-angle macro.
The more core difference is the anti-shake, the X50 is still the traditional OIS optical anti-shake, while the X50 Pro is the micro-cloud anti-shake.
As for the X50 Pro+, further upgraded to a 50-megapixel main camera, 32-megapixel professional portrait lens, 13-megapixel periscope telephoto lens, and 13-megapixel wide-angle macro, the main camera sensor is a custom Samsung ISOCELL GN1, 50-megapixel, 1/1.3 big bottom, and also supports 100-megapixel mode.
However, Vivo X50 Pro+ does not have a gimbal, wireless charging, and IP68 waterproofing. At this premium price range, it is a bit regretful.
In conclusion, after comparing the prices and specifications of the X50/X50 Pro/X50 Pro+, I think the X50 Pro+ is more sincere than the X50 Pro+ from RMB 4998 about ₹52,800, and the specifications are almost all top-of-the-line.
