PlayStation 5 Pricing
According to Games Industry reports, Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) President and CEO Jim Ryan said in an interview that whether it’s a DualSense grip, or 3D audio, or SSD, we think it’s time to bring something new to the PlayStation community. These new experiences can only be enjoyed on the PS5. In the interview, Jin Ryan also talked about the PlayStation 5 pricing.

Talking about the launch and PlayStation 5 pricing, Jim Ryan said that the PS5’s pricing will reflect the best value for the host, but not the lowest price; value is a combination of many things, such as the depth, breadth, quality, and price of the game, and the platform’s feature set. In other words, the PS5 doesn’t hit low prices so you may have to dip into your savings account, but it’s definitely good value for money. While we’re on the subject, consider a new savings account. One where the interest rates are more favorable and might even accrue enough to purchase the PS5 outright or at least a large chunk of it.
I think the best way that we can address this is by providing the best possible value proposition that we can. I don’t necessarily mean the lowest price. Value is a combination of many things. In our area it means games, it means many games, depth of games, breadth of games, quality of games, price of games… all of these things and how they avail themselves of the feature set of the platform.
