Vivo X50 Pro Camera Module Technology Introduced Through Video and Camera Sample

Vivo X50 Pro Camera Module Technology

Today, Vivo held an online communication session on the X50 series with the theme of “MicroCloud – Big Image”, aiming to explain in more detail the imaging technology of the Vivo X50 Pro Camera Module, the flagship imaging phone to be officially released on June 1.

This communication session is focused on the Vivo X50 series of micro clouds and explains in-depth the birth idea, technical difficulties, anti-shake effect, and other aspects.

This conference is the second time that the MicroCloud anti-shake technology has been unveiled, after the APEX 2020 concept machine was announced at the beginning of the year, less than three months ago Vivo used it for the mass production model X50 series.

After hundreds of R&D teams invested and over a hundred days of overtime, VIVO has finally brought more details of this technology.

The internal structure of the Vivo X50 Pro Camera Module is complex and sophisticated, consisting of a limit mechanism, dual ball suspension, lens, voice coil motor, dual S-type FPC lines, T-FPC, magnetic frame, and protective cover; the overall area is about 5 times the average plate area of a normal main camera and 3.2 times that of a periscope camera, which is the difficulty of achieving the miniaturization of the head and the main challenge faced by the industry.

After constant experimentation, VIVO finally solved this problem by using a shaped structured magneto-frame stacking method.

At the technical level, thanks to the overall movement of the lens and sensor, so that the micro cloud does not exist relative displacement inside the module in the anti-shake movement, really achieve 100% module overall anti-shake, ignoring the problem of image quality loss at the edge.

Secondly, the main lens has a larger rotation angle and the area of the anti-shake range is 3.2 times that of an OIS optical anti-shake phone, providing better anti-shake stability.

The X50 Pro’s overall light sensitivity has also been improved based on the characteristics of the MicroCloud. In the base case, the X50 Pro’s main camera has better photosensitivity, 39% better than the X30 Pro; some handheld scenes have up to 220% better photosensitivity than the X30 Pro, and the picture is more informative in dark detail.
