Huawei Kirin 985 official Introduction
Today held the 30 series conference as scheduled, and Huawei’s third 5G SoC Kirin 985 was officially unveiled.
According to Zhao Ming, President of Honor, Kirin 985 uses the same 5G Modem of Kirin 990 and supports NSA / SA dual-mode 5G networking. As can be seen from the naming, Kirin 985 is located between Kirin 820 and Kirin 990 5G, and also supports NSA / SA dual-mode 5G networking is equivalent to the upgraded version of Kirin 820.
It is reported that this SoC is built using a 7nm process. The eight-core CPU is composed of a 2.58GHz A76 + 3 × 2.4GHz A76 + 4 × 1.84GHz A55. The GPU is Mali-G77 and Kirin 990 is the same dual-core NPU.
In terms of 5G rate, official data states that the downlink rate can reach 1277Mbs and the uplink rate can reach 173Mbps. At the same time, the high-speed scene has been optimized. For example, at a speed of 90 kilometers per hour, the downlink and uplink rates can reach 589Mbps and 63Mbps, respectively; in the high-speed rail scenario, the downlink and uplink rates can reach 476Mbps and 44Mbps, respectively.

According to Antutu Benchmark official website, Kirin 985’s running score comes from Honor BMH-AN10. From the official website information, this is Honor 30.
In terms of running points, Huawei Kirin 985 Antutu Benchmark achieved its highest score 386,045 points, slightly higher than the previously released Kirin 820. In terms of sub-scores, Kirin 985 has a CPU score of 122531, a GPU score of 131623, a MEM score of 69180, and a UX score of 62711.
Compared with the Kirin 820, the performance of the Kirin 985 in terms of GPU, MEM and UX is better than the Kirin 820 model, but the CPU score is slightly lower than the Kirin 820.
