Samsung is already giving tough competition to Apple’s AirPods Pro with its true wireless headphones Galaxy Buds +. To reach next level of true wireless headphones, Samsung is approaching a ground breaking new design for its next generation buds to called as “Samsung Galaxy Buds Bean”.

According to WinFuture / Roland Quandt, Samsung is already working on its next generation wireless headphones just after launch of Galaxy Buds +. In terms of design, these so-called true wireless stereo headphones will fundamentally differ from the Galaxy Buds and Galaxy Buds + that have been released to date, but will also have disadvantages in certain details.

Previously Samsung uses “Popcorn” code words for the buds, but upcoming next generation Galaxy Buds code named as “Beans”. As the code name beans suggest, we can probably guess that it will lool like bean, but it also can be compared with shape of kidney.

Author Ronald Quandt also provided Samsung Galaxy Buds Bean rendering of 3D models which confirms design and notably much smaller than any othe TWS. If a large part of the case still protruded more or less far from the ear, especially with small ears, this should change soon. This is made possible by the new design.

Presumably, the approximately 2.8 cm long headphones should be able to be used in the ear in such a way that their “back” fills the upper part of the ear, while the lower part and thus the integrated loudspeakers protrude into the ear canal and emit them accordingly . This results in an even more compact shape, but the screening of ambient noise could suffer because the auditory canal is not closed as well as when using silicone attachments.

According to reports from sources of Ronald Quandt, the new Samsung headphones, which have the model number SM-R180, have two small loudspeakers, one of which should provide treble and midrange or low tones. To get a better sound, the speakers seem to have an outside channel, similar to what you would find on a subwoofer.

In addition, as usual, there are also several built-in microphones, which are used on the one hand for telephone calls, but on the other hand probably also serve for the optional transmission of outside noise. In addition, the 3D data that he professionally visualized also show a recess in which the sensor is probably located, which detects whether the headphones are in the ear or not.

Samsung Galaxy Buds Bean is currently in first engineering phase of validation testing (EVT1), battery capacity and other information not available yet. Samsung has largely completed development, but testing of various part of design and other circumstances are pending. Some details may be change in final version of galaxy buds bean and expected to release in coming months (confirmation pending).
