Today, Sharp AQUOS R5G was officially released in Japan, this is first 5G mobile phone brought by Sharp.

Sharp 5G mobile phone Aquos R5G released in Japan, with a 6.5-inch Pro IGZO screen, powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor, equipped with 12GB LPDDR5 memory and 256GB UFS3.0 body storage.

The most notable of this machine is that it uses a double cutoff display design, with water droplets on the top of the front screen and a fingerprint recognition on the bottom, like “notch”.

However, the appearance of this new machine is very high. The AQUOS R5G supports NFC, WiFi 6, facial recognition, IP68 dustproof and waterproof, and 8K video recording.

The Aquos R5G uses a 6.5-inch Pro IGZO screen with a resolution of 3168 × 1440, a 120Hz screen refresh rate, and a brightness of 1000 cd/m². It has three colors: blue, black, and white.

IGZO (indium gallium zinc oxide) Amorphous IGZO material is a channel layer material used in next-generation thin film transistor technology, and is a type of metal oxide (Oxide) panel technology. IGZO screen may be relatively unfamiliar to everyone. In fact, Sharp began research on IGZO LCD panels as early as 2002. Compared with existing screens, IGZO panels have higher resolution, lower power consumption, and lower cost than OLED.

In terms of configuration, the Sharp Aquos R5G has a body size of 162 × 75 × 8.9mm, weighs 189 grams, has a built-in 3730mAh battery, is equipped with 12GB LPDDR5 memory and 256GB UFS3.0 body storage.

In terms of cameras, Aquos R5G has a front 16.4 megapixel camera and four vertical rear cameras, including 12.2 megapixel standard lens, 48 megapixel lens, 12.2 megapixel telephoto lens and ToF lens, which supports 8K video shooting.
