According to Twitter user submission, the under-development of the Sony PS5 Prototype has now been fully exposed, confirming the “deep V shape” of the previous patent rendering.

As can be seen from the figure, the two development machines have almost the same design as in the previous Sony patent, with the center inwardly recessed and a lot of heat dissipation grills, which may be to meet the heat dissipation requirements of the new generation of processors. As a next-generation host, the design of the Sonu PS5 prototype machine is slightly retro, and the final product is not expected to adopt this design. Sony has said that the PS5 is expected to officially meet with you by the end of 2020.

According to previous reports, Sony PlayStation 5 SoCs are codenamed Gonzalo, Oberon and Prospero. The processor frequency will reach 3.2 GHz and an 8-core 16-thread design, which means that the PlayStation 5’s CPU will bring a huge improvement. Benchmark results show that the Gonzalo APU will be 4 times stronger than the PlayStation 4 processor and provide better graphics performance than Nvidia’s GTX 1080 GPU.
