Huawei Mate 30 Pro’s rear camera is very strong, equipped with super-sensing Leica movie four shots, the parameters are dual 40 megapixel pixel dual main camera (super-sensitive camera + movie camera) + 8 megapixel telephoto + 3D deep sense lens, of which 40 megapixel movie camera uses a 1/1.54-inch large sensor, and the 40 megapixel super-sensitive camera continues the RYYB filter array to achieve ISO 409600 photographic sensitivity.

Huawei Mate 30 Pro Camera Set-up

Thanks to the powerful four-shot rear camera, the Huawei Mate 30 Pro supports 4K 60fps, 4K HDR, 960fps slow motion photography at 1080P, and 7680fps ultra-high speed photography at 720P, 3x optical zoom, 5x hybrid zoom, and 30 times digital zoom, in which both super-sensing and telephoto lenses support OIS optical image stabilization and Huawei’s AIS anti-shake technology.

7680fps Ultra high speed slow motion

In a interview with Bruce Lee (vice President Huawei product) with source , Bruce Lee explained how Huawei achieve 7680fps ultra high speed slow motion. As per in Bruce lee words, “This function has a very high demand for RAM, so we use the method of co-processing the CPU, GPU, ISP and NPU in the SoC that directly outputs the image. The original image with a length of 0.12 seconds will output a final length of 32 seconds. The video, because the user is not good at grasping from which point in time to select, so we are in the image of 1 second length, through AI frame selection, intelligent capture, get 120ms image. And processing 800ms long second image, will Will consume up to 2GB of RAM.”

As per above statement, it is clear that; when we press shutter button, mate 30 pro record at 7860fps for 0.12 second and AI automatically selects periods. Which delivers this Breakthrough 7680fps slow motion video. Which can be played for 32 seconds. In other words, it records at 7680fps for 0.12 second, which is 945 frame, that recorded frames played at 30fps for 32 seconds.
