At the same time, Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 is optimized for game scenarios, SoC’s graphics engine is optimized for augmented reality applications, and a dedicated computational vision engine processes data. In addition, the Snapdragon 855 also integrates the NPU unit, which is the first chip from Qualcomm to provide a dedicated NPU unit.

Before the comparison, it should be noted that the Exynos 9820/Snapdragon 855 runs the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus engineering machine, while the Snapdragon 845’s score comes from the upgrade of Android 9 Galaxy S9, Kirin 980. The result is Mate 20.

First, let’s look at the total scores. According to the running scores, they are Snapdragon 855, Exynos 9820, Kirin 980 and Snapdragon 845. The total scores are 343051, 325067, 309425 and 290455 respectively.

MEM score is the sum of memory and storage scores. Kirin 980 has the best performance and should be related to LPDDR4X-2133MHz memory. The lowest of the three is Snapdragon 845, followed by Snapdragon 855 and Exynos 9820, which is second only to Kirin 980.

In terms of UX scores, the performance of Snapdragon 855 and Exynos 9820 was basically the same, the gap was very small, while the performance of Kirin 980 was slightly worse, but it was also significantly higher than Snapdragon 845.

In terms of CPU scores, Snapdragon 855 performed best, followed by Kirin 980. The gap was not large, which was about 10% higher than the Exynos 9820 behind it . The Snapdragon 845 has been in the CPU performance because of its older architecture. Significantly behind the next generation of flagship platforms.

Ann Bunny believes that Exynos 9820 may still be in the early debugging state, and the kernel scheduling is not perfect, which affects the performance of the CPU to a certain extent. The final result is subject to the official release of the Galaxy S10 series.

Finally, the GPU part, the best performance is still the Snapdragon 855, followed by the Exynos 9820 and Snapdragon 845, the GPU performance of the Kirin 980.

According to the architecture, the Exynos 9820 CPU model is Mali-G76 MP12, theoretically stronger than the Kirin 980 Mali-G76 MP10, the actual results of the Exynos 9820 GPU performance is indeed ahead of Kirin 980 about 20% But still behind the Xiaolong 855.

The last thing to note is that from the information of Ann Bunny’s background statistics, the Galaxy S10 Plus is currently equipped with the Snapdragon 855 tuning is not radical, the driver version is relatively old, so the performance is not calculated. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 development prototype that was leaked before has actually reached nearly 360,000 . In the future, in the hands of domestic manufacturers, there should be more potential.

The results of the project prototype released this time are for everyone’s participation. After the release of the relevant models in the future, Ann Bunny will compare again.
