ZTE completes 5G terminal and system NSA end-to-end communication

ZTE is one of the end solutions with the scale advantage of a complete product line.

Recently, ZTE successfully completed the world’s first 3.5GHz NSA networking 5G terminal and system network end-to-end communication. The test uses ZTE’s world’s first 5G smartphone prototype that supports both sub-6GHz and mmWave 5G mainstream frequency bands. Based on ZTE’s self-developed 5G NR base station and LTE core network products, it marks ZTE’s 5G smartphones to commercial completion a major step.

After ZTE completed the world’s first 5G new air interface data connection in line with the 3GPP independent networking specification (SA), ZTE continued to successfully establish 5G bearer services. This time, 5G end-to-end tuning under NSA non-independent networking Tong, fully embodies ZTE’s 5G end-to-end capabilities.

According to the consulting report issued by the famous consulting organization Ovum, in the 5G product series of Massive MIMO, serialized base station, microwave, bearer, core network and terminal, only two equipment manufacturers in the strict sense can provide complete 5G end to ZTE is one of the end solutions with the scale advantage of a complete product line.

At present, ZTE is conducting 5G cooperation and testing in more than 20 high-end operators around the world, and promotes extensive cooperation with upstream and downstream industry partners to continuously expand 5G in the fields of Internet of Things, Internet of Vehicles, Smart Home, Telemedicine, AR/VR, etc. Application experiments to further accelerate the commercialization of 5G network commercial and business applications. ZTE will also launch 5G commercial handsets in the first half of 2019.
